Danny Sullivan Group - Shaping our Health & Safety Practices
Danny Sullivan Group have worked together in an alliance with our clients to design, compile and initiate bespoke training courses/briefings for on-site personnel. Our training team have worked closely with Costain to create and deliver presentations on sites that meet industry standards and best practice. Peter Cove, Group Health & Safety Manager, visited the Costain Shenfield Station site, part of the Cross Rail Anglia project, on the 29th of June to deliver a bespoke Plant & People Interface session. Costain identified a number of issues on site and initiated a stand-down with up 50 personnel in attendance. Danny Sullivan Group not only ensure that our operatives are fully educated in Health & Safety, but we also deliver our training courses to all subcontractors on site, no matter what company they are contracted to work for. As a result of this dedication, Costain requested that Peter Cove review the report findings and instructed him to present on their behalf. The presentation focused on the theme of “Man versus Machine” which took up to one hour and a half to deliver. The session was called to illustrate some lessons learnt by Danny Sullivan Group, and provided the attendees with information on three unfortunate high profile incidents which have shaped our Health & Safety practices. We were supported by the Costain Health & Safety Adviser who was in attendance along with Project Managers, Plant Operators and Operatives, from the contracted infrastructure sub-contractor on site.
